Ulamat is a free educational application that teaches fundamental Islamic knowledge in the order a Muslim needs it: belief, purity, prayer, fasting and funeral rites. The app features a word-by-word recitation check for duas and surahs, marking clear words in green and words needing practice in amber with audio guidance from a qari.
The platform supports five languages (English, Bengali, Arabic, Urdu and Indonesian) and requires no installation—it works in browsers and can be added to home screens for offline access. Every lesson and ruling cites established sources from the Quran, major hadith collections and named scholars. Your voice is never stored; only scores are kept, ensuring privacy by design.
Ulamat follows one of four Islamic schools of jurisprudence (madhab) that users select, showing common ground where the schools differ. Daily reviews help retain knowledge through gentle reminders rather than punishing streaks. The app includes additional tools like prayer times, qibla direction, tasbih counter, seasonal Islamic content and a verified answers feature written by named scholars.

No. It works in your browser and you can add it to your home screen to use it like an app. Lessons you have opened work offline.
Can Ulamat replace a teacher?
No. It is for practice between lessons. A teacher hears details no model hears today, so keep reciting to a teacher when you can.
