How do developers and AI assistants access Vistaro Launch?
Connect via REST API or MCP protocol to search products, manage listings and bring Vistaro into your workflow.
Updated
The view from the API
You can reach Vistaro Launch's data and tools in two ways. The REST API at /api/v1 gives you structured access to our catalogue and your listings. An OpenAPI 3.1 description is available at /api/v1/openapi.json if you need the full technical map.
Alternatively, connect an AI assistant—Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client—to our remote MCP server at /mcp. Your assistant can then search across industries and regions, read product details and, once you've given permission, draft and manage your own listings directly from the conversation.
Getting started
Start at /developers for full documentation and examples. To authenticate:
- Use OAuth: your assistant will open our sign-in page, or you sign in yourself through the browser.
- Generate a personal API key at /account/developers. You'll see it once; we store only a hash.
What applies
Rate limits and daily quotas keep the service balanced for everyone. Any payment needed triggers a checkout link from the API—transactions always happen on this site. Note that voting, which shapes every product's rank here, is not available through the API; that stays with the community on Vistaro Launch itself.
For support, visit /developers.
Questions people ask
- Can my AI assistant post and edit listings for me?
- Yes. Over MCP, once you've authorised it, an assistant can draft and manage your own listings alongside searching the catalogue.
- Do I need to pay to use the API?
- Limits and quotas apply to all connections. If your use triggers a payment, the API returns a checkout link to complete it on this site.
- Where do I find my API key?
- Generate and view your personal key at /account/developers. Write it down when it appears; we don't show it again.
